St Mary’s East Molesey

St Mary’s is a warm, family friendly church where everyone is welcome. Our vision is to be at the heart of the community and to share the love of Jesus in word and action.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Latest Update

We regret to say that, in the light of the Government announcement on 16 March, that there will be no public gatherings at St Mary’s Church.  Therefore, Sunday services, Little Moles, Cafe, Alpha, CBS, along with children’s and youth events will be cancelled until further notice.

Whilst we are not physically gathering together in church, the ministry at St Mary’s is very much open and we want to keep you up-to-date with what’s happening.

We will be live streaming our service from 10.30am this Sunday.
You can watch live on YouTube here .

You can also join via Zoom {ID = 374-048-306].

If you are new to St Mary’s or thinking of coming along for the first time then you are very welcome. You can read more about what to expect here.

On Sundays we serve breakfast at 10am which is followed at 10.30am by our contemporary, family friendly service with band, four children’s and youth groups. We also have a welcoming traditional Holy Communion service with hymns and songs at 9am. Check our calendar for more details of this weeks service.

Love Jesus, Love Others, Serve the World

Our vision is to reach out into the community with the love of Jesus through Sunday worship and mid-week groups.

In 2019 we have four priorities as a church as we seek to live out our vision:

Sunday Gatherings.

Continuing to develop our welcoming Sunday mornings as we come together to meet friends and make new ones, worship, teaching and to encounter God’s love and presence. A significant focus of Sundays is building up the faith of our children and youth. We are soon to expand provision for children’s and youth to five groups: Creche, Pre-schoolers (2-4 year olds), Infants (school years R-2), Juniors (years 3-5) and Youth (years 6 and above).

Developing our mid-week groups – so that we have a greater number and range and increase the numbers who are part of a group. We’d like to see each group particularly focus on growing our relationship with God during 2019 alongside our witness and service in the community.

24-7 prayer.

In March 2019 we launched 24 hours a month – building on our week long 24-7 prayer initiatives in 2017 and 2018. We had 100 different people involved during our week of 24-7 prayer last year – and hope to grow our 24 hours of prayer a month to 48 hours a month during 2019.

Community Hub.

We are so blessed with our church building and long to see it continue to develop as a community hub where people from across the community are welcomed, meet others and witness the love of Christian community. Our community hub offers Little Moles (our Tuesday carer and toddler group), The St Mary’s Cafe (open on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays 9am-12pm) and our range of courses.
