Prayer in Progress

Our 24-7 Prayer Room launched last night. It is so exciting that as a church we will be praying non-stop for a whole week! If you haven’t booked a slot yet there are a few spaces remaining but they are filling up quickly so you can book online here.

24-7 Prayer (8-15 May)

St Mary’s are taking part in the “Thy Kingdom Come” initiative launched by the Archbishop of Canterbury by praying non-stop during the week leading up to Pentecost (8-15 May 2016). Slots in the Prayer Room can be booked online here. 24-7 prayer is not a new idea; in fact it’s as ancient as the church. Annual Church Meeting – 18th April

All are warmly invited to attend our Annual Church Meeting this coming Monday evening – 18th April at 8pm. Two particular highlights will be: reviewing our vision as a church in light of the latest research into church growth, and; hearing more about the exciting plans for church usage, in particular for a cafe and soft play facilities. Bishop Sandy Millar to speak at St Mary’s

We are delighted to welcome Bishop Sandy Millar to speak at St Mary’s on Palm Sunday. Sandy practised for 10 years as a barrister before being ordained into the Church of England, joining Holy Trinity Brompton (HTB) as a curate and becoming Vicar in 1985. He oversaw the growth of HTB to the largest church in the Church of England and was responsible for leading Alpha from a small local parish resource to one used by thousands of churches around…

The Money Course starts

The CAP Money Course is starting on Monday!  The course provides support to those in the community who are struggling with debt and debt-related problems.  CAP is an amazing opportunity for us to build bridges into the local community, providing much needed support and showing God’s love in a practical way.  If you or anyone you know could benefit from doing the course, please do get in touch with Matthew Frost at  Monday 22 February 7.30pm | St Mary’s. …

Feed – Guest Speaker

The first Feed of 2016 is on 7 February with an ambitious session: The Entire Bible in One Hour!  Thom Jee, who after getting a 1st in History at Oxford University went on to teach in a secondary school in the Midlands with Teach First, is now studying Theology at Cambridge University and is in the process of getting ordained. Whilst at Oxford he was responsible for leading the Christian Union’s outreach efforts. He is coming here to St Mary’s to tee up our…

Connect Groups Launch!

Vision for 2016

150 people attended St Mary’s on Vision Sunday including 75 adults and children at a bring and share lunch when Minister Richard Lloyd shared details of the 12 mid-week Connect Groups launching at the beginning of 2016.  You can listen to Richard’s talk again online. Vision Sunday

Please join us for our Vision Sunday service on 10 January when Richard will be sharing the Vision for 2016.  All are invited to stay on after the service for a family friendly bring and share lunch, during which we will hear from some of the Connect Group leaders about the vision for their groups during the coming term.
