Following last year’s successful Christmas lunches at St Mary’s and St Paul’s, the Group Ministry of St Paul’s, St Mary’s and St Peter’s have decided to repeat this event, but this time holding it at a single venue, open to all: St Peter’s Church Hall.
The purpose is to provide the best possible Christmas day for those who otherwise might be on their own, or who do not have the resources to do Christmas the way they would like. This could be you, or someone you know, a neighbour or acquaintance who would be really pleased to be invited.
Naturally at the heart is a traditional home cooked Christmas lunch, but additionally we can watch the Queen’s speech, and/or a film, have a sing a long around the piano, play games, do a ‘Secret Santa’, etc.
Please feel free to invite people. Once you have ideas of who might be coming, even if it is only a possible, please contact Dave and Kat Bixby at: firstname.lastname@example.org, so we have some idea of numbers. More exact numbers won’t be needed until much nearer the time.
We would love to hear from anyone who is able to help, either in advance or on the day. If you would like to get involved in a supporting capacity, please contact Dave and Kat on the above email address.
