Anya Headon

Anya Headon

Originally from South Africa, Anya arrived in London on a working holiday at the beginning of 2001. She met Gareth during her first week, they married three years later.

Anya converted her South African law degree into an English one, and qualified as a solicitor at a London law firm in 2007. After her first son Michael was born, Anya left her job to spend more time with her family. Michael was joined by his sister Catherine in 2010 and Nicholas in 2013.

In 2016, after spending a night praying, a series of co-incidences happened, and Anya realised she needed to explore her faith on a deeper level. She attended an Alpha Course, a Connect Group and started volunteering at St Mary’s Cafe. She could see and feel God working in her life and was baptised on Easter Sunday, 2017.

In June 2017, Anya joined Jo in the office at St Mary’s and is excited about what God is doing in her life.
