Prayer and Reflection | Week 2

Miranda leads us in Week 2 of our prayer and reflection which will continue all the way to Christmas.

“Please, Lord, hear my prayer and give me the understanding that comes from your word.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119:169‬ ‭CEVDCI‬‬

“I am worn out, O LORD; have pity on me! Give me strength; I am completely exhausted and my whole being is deeply troubled. How long, O LORD, will you wait to help me? Come and save me, LORD; in your mercy rescue me from death.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭6:2-4‬ ‭GNB‬‬

“I have no peace, no rest, and my troubles never end.” ‭‭Job‬ ‭3:26‬ ‭GNB‬‬

“Why won’t God give me what I ask? Why won’t he answer my prayer?” ‭‭Job‬ ‭6:8‬ ‭GNB‬‬

Give me a helping hand, for I have chosen to follow your commandments.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119:170, 173‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Listen to my prayer; rescue me as you promised. ““Yes,” says the Lord, “I will do mighty miracles for you, like those I did when I rescued you from slavery in Egypt.”” ‭‭Micah‬ ‭7:15‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Once again old men and women, so old that they use a stick when they walk, will be sitting in the city squares. And the streets will again be full of boys and girls playing. “This may seem impossible to those of the nation who are now left, but it’s not impossible for me. I will rescue my people from the lands where they have been taken, and will bring them back from east and west… They will be my people, and I will be their God, ruling over them faithfully and justly. “Have courage! You are now hearing the same words the prophets spoke at the time the foundation was being laid for rebuilding my Temple.” ‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭8:4-9‬ ‭GNB‬‬

“Don’t hesitate to be enthusiastic—be on fire in the Spirit as you serve the Lord! Be happy in your hope, stand your ground when you’re in trouble, and devote yourselves to prayer.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:11-12‬ ‭CEB‬‬

“Now, our God, we give you thanks, and we praise your glorious name.” ‭‭1 Chronicles‬ ‭29:13‬ ‭GNB
