Prayer and Reflection | Week 4

Prayer and Reflection | Week 4

Miranda leads us in Week 4 of our prayer and reflection which will continue all the way to Christmas.

This week’s passages:-

“Please, Lord, hear my prayer and give me the understanding that comes from your word.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119:169‬ ‭CEVDCI‬‬

“As for us, brothers and sisters, when we were separated from you for a little while — not in our thoughts, of course, but only in body — how we missed you and how hard we tried to see you again! We wanted to return to you. I myself tried to go back more than once, but Satan would not let us.” ‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭2:17-18‬ ‭GNB‬‬

“But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior. He will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same power with which he will bring everything under his control.” ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3:20-21‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Our leaders are not allowed to decide cases in court, and young people no longer play music. Our hearts are sad; instead of dancing, we mourn.” ‭‭Lamentations‬ ‭5:14-15‬ ‭CEVDCI‬‬

“Say to those who are panicking: “Be strong! Don’t fear! Here’s your God, coming with vengeance; with divine retribution God will come to save you.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭35:4‬ ‭CEB‬‬

“For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity. The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen!” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭9:6-7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“I pray that God, who gives peace, will make you completely holy. And may your spirit, soul, and body be kept healthy and faultless until our Lord Jesus Christ returns. The one who chose you can be trusted, and he will do this.” ‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:23-24‬ ‭CEVDCI‬‬

“May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.” ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:23‬ ‭NLT‬‬
