What is Alpha?
Alpha is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith. It’s relaxed, low key, friendly and fun. Listen, learn, discuss and discover. And ask anything. Alpha is a place where no question is too simple or too hostile. And it’s supported by all the main Christian denominations.
We want everyone to have a chance to ask those questions they have always wanted to ask, without anything getting in the way. Perhaps, in this time of uncertainty, you have more questions than ever before.
Over 19 million people worldwide have now attended an Alpha course, an opportunity to explore the meaning of life, running in tens of thousands of churches of all denominations across the world.
Who is Alpha for?
Alpha is for everyone, especially:
• Those wanting to investigate Christianity
• New Christians
• Newcomers to church
• Those who want to brush up on the basics
No question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish. We don’t assume any background knowledge of or belief in Christianity and everyone is welcome.
What’s involved?
We are running Alpha in the daytime in January. There will be a great Alpha video to watch followed by an opportunity to discuss the issues raised in a small group.
